Tomorrow is it. The (un)official end to summer. School is back in session around these parts as of tomorrow morning and my heart is sinking ever so slightly. It's no secret that I will miss seeing my kids so much. This summer has been amazing and not because we jammed packed it with loads of activity, but because I got the opportunity to be at home everyday with my kids.
My little one's temperament toned down into a lovely, easy-going and happy one and she learned to read. My big one and I swung into a groove with each other that has a lot of teasing, but a greater deal of love and respect going on and life is rockin' it. My sweet love and I managed to do some serious quality stuff with our little one and this summer is going down in the memory books as the best yet for our family.
Things are shifting, but I am okay with it all. I know that nothing in this life is permanent...not even the awesome stuff, but that memories last as long as we live, and I am holding on, writing down and documenting these days so that forever they will live in my heart and mind.
Thank you summer, you were wonderful.
Tomorrow is going to be the first of four busy, crazy days getting kids organized and back in routine. Bring it on. I am all charged up with love and joy so nothing can stop me. Ha!
See you soon tomorrow, and bring the coffee.
